Perfect Perogies

  • Quesava (cheddar style) Vegan Perogies
  • Water
  • Cooking oil
  • Your choice of toppings: green onions, fried onions, roasted veggies, sour cream or yogurt.

Prepare toppings and set aside. You can prepare our perogies in two different ways.

1. Heat a frying pan with a little olive oil. When hot, add frozen perogies and fry at medium high ‘til golden on one side. Add 1/8” of water and poach with the lid on for 2 min, remove the lid, steam off the remaining water and fry until crisp on both sides. Serve immediately with green onions, fried onions, sour cream, yogurt and other favorite toppings.

2. Bring a pot of water to the boil, with just enough water to cover the perogies. Add the frozen perogies and cook for 4 -6 min. When the perogies float to the surface, remove one at a time with a slotted spoon, lightly oil, season and serve.
